Board Changes

Solo Oil plc is pleased to announce the appointment today of Daniel Maling to the Board of the Company as Finance Director.

At the same time, Donald Strang, Finance Director, is stepping down to a Non-Executive Director and Sandy Barblett, Non-Executive Director, has resigned to pursue other business interests. The Board thanks Mr Barblett for his contribution to the Company and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

Daniel ("Dan") Maling has over 15 years of senior commercial management experience primarily in the oil and gas and mining sectors. He has worked with several AIM, ASX and TSX listed companies providing corporate finance, business development and corporate governance advice. Dan has a Bachelor of Accounting & Law and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Neil Ritson, Solo's Chairman, commented:

Donald Strang - Non-Executive Director

Daniel John Shilton Maling, aged 40, is or has been in the past five years a director of the following companies:

Dan Maling currently holds no ordinary shares in the Company.

There is no further information to be disclosed in relation to Mr Maling pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule Two of the AIM Rules for Companies.
