Directorate change

The Board of Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Nick Winsor has been selected to succeed Paul Meader as Chair of the Company, with effect from the Annual General Meeting ("AGM") to be held on 3 December 2024, subject to Mr Winsor's re-election as a director at the AGM.

Paul Meader will not seek re-election to the Board at the forthcoming AGM.

This appointment followed a thorough Chair succession planning process led by Alexa Coates, Senior Independent Director. Nick was appointed to the Board in March 2020 and was appointed as chair of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee in November 2020. The Board has taken into account Mr Winsor's experience in financial services in Asia and Europe and his knowledge of the Company and experience on the Board.

Nick has more than 35 years of retail and commercial banking experience with HSBC Group in a number of international markets. Nick is a non-executive director of Metro Bank plc and Metro Bank Holdings plc and a member of the latter's Risk Oversight and Audit committees. He is also the Senior Independent Director of the States of Jersey Development Company, Chair of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee. Nick is a non-executive director of Bankers without Boundaries, a not for profit investment bank, and the Chair of Autism Jersey.

The Board thanks Mr Meader for his invaluable contribution and highly effective leadership of the Board to date.
