Synectics plc (AIM: SNX, formerly Quadnetics Group plc), a leader in the design, integration and control of advanced surveillance technology and networked security systems, was informed today that on 7 August 2012 John Shepherd, the Company's Chief Executive, purchased 5,172 ordinary shares of 20p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 290p per Ordinary Share. Following this transaction, Mr Shepherd is beneficially interested in 445,885 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 2.54 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
