Charitable Contribution

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("Samsung"), on July 27, 2023, announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the following contribution.

Contribution to the Ho-Am Foundation (the "Foundation")

- Samsung will contribute KRW 3.4 billion to the Foundation to be used for its presentation of the Samsung Ho-Am Prizes in the following six fields:

· Physics/Mathematics,

· Chemistry/Biology,

· Engineering,

· Medicine,

· Art, and

· Volunteering

Donations to Foundations and Educational Organizations

1. KRW 17.190 billion to Samsung Life Public Welfare Foundation

2. KRW 12.244 billion to Sungkyunkwan University

The amounts listed above will be paid within 2023.

※ Note: Pursuant to the Korea Fair Trade Act, a donor is required to disclose its donation to charitable organizations if such amount exceeds KRW 5 billion and the recipient is an affiliated entity of the donor.
