Share plc, a leading independent stockbroker which operates The Share Centre Limited ("The Share Centre") is delighted to announce that The Share Centre was voted as 'Execution-only Stockbroker of the Year' and 'Online Stockbroker of the Year', and that in addition Gavin Oldham, Chief Executive, was presented with the 'Editors' Award for Services to Private Investors' at the Investors Chronicle and Financial Times Investment Awards 2013, held last night.

The Share Centre was also shortlisted in the following categories, 'Best Stockbroker for Costs' and 'Best Stockbroker for Customer Service'. The awards are voted for by readers of the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle and are designed to recognise financial service providers that offer excellent service and good value for money.

Last year at the same awards, The Share Centre won 'Stockbroker of the Year' and 'Execution-only Stockbroker of the Year'.

Gavin Oldham, Chief Executive

Gavin Oldham founded The Share Centre having previously established Barclayshare (now Barclays Stockbrokers) for Barclays Bank. Gavin plays an active role in business affairs and is a regular contributor to radio and TV. An elected member of the General Synod and a Church Commissioner (and Deputy Chairman of its Assets Committee), he also serves on the Church's Ethical Investment Advisory Group and is a trustee of Personal Finance Education Group and founder of The Share Foundation.
