Sterling Energy PLC14 July 2006 Sterling Energy plc ("the Company") Additional Listing Application has today been made for 1,000,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in theCompany ("Ordinary Shares") to be admitted to trading on the AIM market of theLondon Stock Exchange ("AIM"). The new Ordinary Shares are being issued pursuant to the exercise of options byemployees. These shares rank pari passu with the Company's existing OrdinaryShares and dealings are expected to commence on 19 July 2006 on AIM.
