Ramco Energy PLC01 June 2006 Ramco Energy plc("Ramco") Ramco raises £150,000 working capital from placing of new shares Ramco, the Aberdeen based independent exploration company, announces that on 1June 2006 it raised £150,000 through the issue of 1,352,780 new ordinary sharesof 10p each. 952,380 ordinary shares were issued to an institutional investor at a price of10.5p, and 400,400 shares were issued to the trustees of the pension fund ofSteve Remp, Ramco's Chairman, at 12.5p per share. The funds will supplementworking capital. An application will be made to London Stock Exchange for the new ordinary sharesto be admitted to trading on the AIM market and it is expected that trading willcommence on 7 June 2006. Following the share issue, there will be 35,017,815 ordinary shares of 10p eachin Ramco Energy plc in issue. Mr Remp's beneficial holding now totals 4,256,068ordinary shares, representing 12.15 per cent. of the issued share capital ofRamco.
