Re: Changes to composition of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of South African Property Opportunities plc announces the appointment, at the behest of certain significant shareholders, of two additional directors, John Chapman and Craig McMurray. These appointments take effect today and the Board therefore now comprises Quentin Spicer (Chairman), Peter Bester, John Chapman, David Humbles, Craig McMurray and Richard Tice.

Mr John David Chapman, aged 52, is a member of the New York State Bar and Chartered Financial Analyst. He is currently a director of a number of investment funds, including ACP Capital Limited, ACP Mezzanine Limited, Central Asia Regional Growth Fund Plc, the Black Sea Property Fund Limited and the Ottoman Fund Limited. 

Mr Craig Justin McMurray, aged 36, is the managing director of Bridgehead Capital Management (Pty) Limited a real estate company managing commercial property in South Africa including Bridgehead Real Estate Fund Limited. Previously Mr McMurray was head of Credit Projects at Standard Bank of South Africa Limited.
