Vane Minerals PLC11 April 2005 VANE Minerals plc Update on Uranium Interests Vane Minerals ("VANE" or "the Company") is continuing to make progress indeveloping its portfolio of uranium exploration targets. In the previous announcement (dated 7th March), VANE stated that a total of 35uranium targets had been identified and were under evaluation, and that seven ofthese had been successfully claimed. Since then, a number of these remainingclaim areas have been staked and three further claims have been granted. However, the Company announces that adverse weather conditions causing roadclosures, together with unavoidable external administrative delays, haveslightly delayed completion of this phase of the process. The Company expects tohave completed programme of target acquisition by the end of April. The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district withsignificant past production as well as significant resources. Due to thecurrently buoyant uranium market conditions, however, VANE continues to prefernot to identify the location until completion of the Company's propertyposition.
