Roc Oil Company Limited08 November 2005 8 November 2005 ROC OIL COMPANY LIMITED ("ROC") STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE MAURITANIA OFFSHORE DRILLING UPDATE ROC advises that the following release was made earlier today by WoodsidePetroleum Ltd: "Woodside Petroleum Ltd. reports the following activity by its wholly-ownedsubsidiary Woodside Mauritania Pty. Ltd. in offshore Mauritania since the lastreport issued on 1 November 2005. PSC Area B Tevet-2 and Tevet-2 ST1 Combined Appraisal and Exploration Well and Labeidna-1 Exploration Well The 'Stena Tay' drill rig completed plug and abandonment operations on Tevet-2ST1, as planned, prior to moving to the Labeidna-1 exploration well location.The well is located 15 kilometres to the south-west of the Chinguetti Field andwill target a Miocene-aged reservoir objective. Labeidna-1 was spudded on 5 November 2005 in a water depth of 1,266 metres. Atmidnight on 7 November 2005, the well had been drilled to a depth of 2,198metres with preparations underway to set casing before drilling ahead to theplanned total depth of approximately 3,095 metres. General All reported drilling depths are referenced to the rig rotary table and alltimes are Universal Time (UTC) (Mauritanian time).
