RM selected to provide managed ICT services to Ealing BSF programme

RM has been chosen to provide managed ICT services for the London Borough of Ealing's BSF (Building Schools for the Future) programme. RM will provide the services as part of the Balfour Beatty Education consortium, which has been appointed preferred bidder for the contract.

The ICT service for Ealing's BSF programme will support 16 schools in total. Delivery of early services in 15 existing schools will commence from January 2011, and commissioning of full services for all 16 schools from April 2012. The project is expected to be worth £39 million to RM.

RM will provide an innovative managed service including classroom technology, wireless mobile device support, thin client technologies, interactive teacher toolkits and a dedicated learning platform for Ealing, backed up with educational support and training. In addition, RM will offer a range of other resources including classroom voting systems, visualisers, video conferencing equipment, and the Isis Concepts VerTable.
