RM confirms three-year contract extension with South Lanarkshire Council

RM confirms that it has reached financial close for a three-year extension to its contract to provide managed ICT services to educational establishments and libraries in South Lanarkshire.

The contract was originally announced in 2003 with a seven-year term and the option for a three-year extension. RM subsequently announced in March 2009 that that South Lanarkshire Council intended to extend the contract. The three-year extension, which is expected to be worth up to £14m to RM, means that the contract will now run until September 2013.

Under the contract extension, RM will continue to provide a complete managed ICT service to over 200 learning establishments in South Lanarkshire. The service includes the provision of computer systems and network connectivity, along with day-to-day support and management of the complete installation. In addition, the three-year extension includes an allowance for hardware 'refresh'.
