RM appoints new Education Resources Group Managing Director

RM has appointed Ronan Smith as Group Managing Director - Education Resources and Curriculum Software. Ronan succeeds Terry Sweeney, who was recently named as the Group's CEO Designate. He will join RM on 19 August 2008.

Ronan Smith joins from MD7, where he was President, European Operations. He brings with him over seventeen years of business experience, including director and CEO level roles in technology, e-learning and business information companies. Ronan has a strong track record of growing profitable businesses and developing international markets, as well as direct experience of RM's markets. 

Terry Sweeney, CEO Designate of RM, said:

'Our Education Resources and Curriculum Software business has grown rapidly in recent years, and we are planning for this growth to continue. As the Group's activities get more diverse, it is increasingly important that we have experienced and entrepreneurial leaders heading up each of our four key focus areas. Ronan fits the bill in every regard and adds significant experience and expertise to RM's senior team.'
