Director/PDMR Shareholdings
Real Estate Investors Plc (AIM:RLE), the UK's only Midlands-focused Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) with a diversified portfolio of 1.59 million sq ft of investment property across all sectors, announces that further to the announcement on 27 March 2020 of the vesting of share awards to Paul Bassi (Chief Executive) in respect of 306,327 ordinary shares of 10p each ("Ordinary Shares") and Marcus Daly (Finance Director) in respect of 191,454 Ordinary Shares, these directors on 21 April 2020 exercised their right to acquire such shares for nil consideration.
These shares, together with a further 91,899 Ordinary Shares in relation to share awards to other employees, were purchased by the Company on 8 April 2020 at a price of 40.98p per Ordinary Share and held in treasury until the transfer of all such shares to the relevant employees on 21 April 2020.
Following these transactions, Paul Bassi is interested in 10,573,064 Ordinary Shares (representing 5.67% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital) and Marcus Daly is interested in 2,036,304 Ordinary Shares (representing 1.1% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital).
Following the transfer of 589,680 Ordinary Shares out of treasury as detailed above, the total number of Ordinary Shares in the capital of the Company in issue as at the date of this announcement is 186,420,598 with 26 Ordinary Shares held in treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 186,420,572. This figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
