ROCKHOPPER EXPLORATION PLC (The 'Company')

Issue of Equity

The Company announces that application has been made for the admission of 125,000 new ordinary shares of 1p each ("New Ordinary Shares") to trading on AIM pursuant to the exercise of share options at an exercise price of 42 pence per share. These options were exercised by a previous director of the Company.

The New Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.

Following the issue of the New Ordinary Shares, the issued share capital will comprise of 292,363,581 ordinary shares.

The New Ordinary Shares are due to be admitted to trading on AIM on 25 November 2014.
