Rift Oil PLC18 December 2006 For immediate release 18 December 2006 Rift Oil PLC (the "Company") Total Voting Rights In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, theCompany notifies the market of the following: As at the date of this announcement, the Company's issued share capital consistsof 356,611,999 ordinary shares with a nominal value of 0.1 pence each ("OrdinaryShares"), with voting rights. The Company does not hold an any Ordinary Sharesin Treasury. Therefore, the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights is356,611,999.
