RHI Magnesita N.V. (LSE: RHIM), the leading global supplier of refractory products, systems and solutions, today announces that James Leng, Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director, informed the Company that he will step down from the Board with effect from 30 September 2020.

The Board has nominated John Ramsay, Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit & Compliance Committee, as Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 October 2020. John has been with the Company since listing in 2017, he has had a distinguished executive career with Syngenta AG and is currently on the Boards of Koninklijke DSM N.V. (Supervisory Board Member), G4S plc (Non-Executive Director, Chair of Audit), and Croda plc (Non-Executive Director, Chair of Audit).

He has been a fundamental part of the establishment of the Company, and we have benefited significantly from his extensive experience and counsel. He has supported the Board with energy and passion on our governance journey from listing to date.
