Trinity Mirror plc ("the Company") announces that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 10 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from Barclays Capital Securities Ltd as part of its buyback programme announced on 1 August 2016.

The Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.
Following the purchase of these shares, the Company holds 1,562,195 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 281,897,376 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares). Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 281,897,376 which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
