Changes in Non Executive Directors

The Board of Trinity Mirror plc ("the Company") announce that they have today appointed Ms Helen Stevenson and Mr Lee Ginsberg as non executive directors with effect from 1st January 2014.

Mr Ginsberg will be appointed Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee of the Company's Board immediately upon his appointment as a director.

Ms Stevenson was previously Chief Marketing Officer at Yell plc and Group Marketing Director of Lloyds TSB Group plc. She started her career with Mars Inc where she spent 19 years culminating in her role as European Marketing Director. She is a non executive director of Skipton Building Society and of St Ives Plc where she also chairs the Remuneration Committee. She also serves on the Strategic Advisory Board of Henley Business School.

Mr Ginsberg, a Chartered Accountant, is Chief Financial Officer of Domino's Pizza Group plc, a role he has held since 2004. Lee has announced his retirement from the group effective 2nd April 2014. He was previously Group Finance Director of Holmes Place plc and of Etam Group plc and has held a number of other senior finance roles in the UK and South Africa. He is currently a non executive director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Mothercare plc.

The Nominations Committee oversaw the search for both roles assisted by Egon Zehnder International before making a unanimous recommendation to the Board.

There are no further disclosures to be made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R(1)-(6) of the Listing Rules.

The Company further announces that Gary Hoffman, the Company's Senior Independent Director, has informed the Board that having served nearly nine years as a director, he will step down from the Board following the publication of the Company's Preliminary Results for 2013 on 13th March 2014.
