Non-executive Director Appointment

QinetiQ is pleased to announce that Steve Mogford will be joining the QinetiQ Board as an independent Non-executive Director of QinetiQ Group plc on 1st August 2022.

Steve Mogford was appointed Chief Executive Officer of United Utilities Group PLC in March 2011. FTSE100 listed, United Utilities provides water and wastewater services to approximately seven million customers in the North West of England.

Having qualified with a first class honours degree in astrophysics, maths and physics from London University, Steve started his career at British Aerospace at its North West based military aircraft business. During his long career with the company he held a number of senior positions before being appointed Chief Operating Officer and a member of the BAE Systems plc Board. Steve then joined Finmeccanica, Italy's principal defence and security company as Chief Executive of SELEX Galileo. Steve served on the board of G4S plc as senior independent director up to its acquisition in 2021.

This notice is given in fulfilment of the obligation under paragraph 9.6.11R of the Listing Rules. There are no further details that are required to be disclosed in respect of Steve Mogford's appointment under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.

Fees

Steve Mogford's fees will be £55,000 per annum, payable from 1st August 2021.
