SwanseaΒ based Pure Wafer plcΒ updates the market on current trading as follows:
"As previously notified, the outlook for the semiconductor industry remains difficult and the downturn is proving to be one of the most challenging ever experienced. This is resulting in problems at all levels throughout the industry, including many of our major blue chip customers posting losses and in some instances, seeking governmental assistance or being placed into administration.Β
"This has weakened expected demand and has led to a deterioration in current trading. The Company isΒ presentlyΒ having discussions with its major lenders regarding itsΒ cash and borrowingΒ position. It will also beΒ investigatingΒ new equity funding."
