Persimmon Plc ("the Company" )- Transfer of Shares held in Treasury

Persimmon Plc announces that on 6 June 2008 it transferred 799 Ordinary Shares to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Long Term Incentive Plan to satisfy the exercise of an option at a price of £7.465. On the same day, 1,000 Ordinary Shares were transferred to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Company Share Option Plan 1997 to satisfy the exercise of an option at a price of £3.06.

Following these transfers the Company holds 2,517,499 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 300,073,932 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
