Global Salesforce Established

ProPhotonix Limited, (London Stock Exchange - AIM: PPIX and PPIR; OTC: STKR.PK), a designer and manufacturer of LED illumination systems, laser diode modules and a laser diode distributor announces the completion of its objectives to establish a sales team to drive growth into the USA and Europe.

The Board is pleased to announce the completion of hiring for its global sales force. In late 2011 ProPhotonix embarked on a strategy to leverage the opportunities emerging in North America and Europe. Central to this was the recruitment of a global sales force resulting in a team of six in North America and eight in Europe serving a wide range of existing and prospective customers in the industrial (machine vision), medical and security/defense markets.

Notable amongst the sales teams, the following five highly qualified individuals have recently joined the global sales organization:

·; Patric Geubbelmans - MBA & M.SC in electrical engineering; 20+ years' experience working for both Sylvania Lighting and Philips Lighting. Patric is fluent in six languages and is the regional sales manager for Benelux, Western Germany, France, and Switzerland.

·; David Richards - BTEC in mechanical engineering; formerly international business development manager for Gardasoft Vision, an LED light controller company and sales manager for New Wave Research, a US manufacturer of Nd:YAG lasers. David is the regional sales manager for UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy and Nordics.

·; Kevin Finn - B.Sc.; 15+ years of sales management and sales engineering experience with Control Laser (sub of Excel/GSI) and Universal Laser Systems. Kevin is the regional sales manager for Western North America.

·; Nazih Moussawee - B.Sc in electrical engineering; 20+ years in applications engineering, technical support and marketing with Rockwell Automation and Danaher. Nazih is the regional sales manager for Midwest North America.

·; George Minott - Ph.D in physical chemistry; 20+ years as applications engineering manager, business development manager and design engineer in the field of photonics for QD Vision, Barr Associates and Meggitt Aerospace/Armtec Industries. George is the regional sales manager for Eastern North America.

Blodgett, Chairman and CEO, commented: "For the first time we have a group of experienced sales individuals supported by internal sales teams in three locations and a strong applications engineering team, which will enable us to grow our business more quickly in the US, Europe, Israel and Asia.
