Appointment of Non-executive Directors

Polar Capital Holdings PLC ("the Company") is pleased to announce the following changes to the Board of Directors.

At a Board Meeting held after the Annual General Meeting Alexa Coates was appointed as a non-executive Director and as Chair of the Audit Committee to succeed Hugh Aldous. Alexa has also been invited to join the Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

Quintin Price was also appointed as a non-executive Director and has been invited to join the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

Both appointments are subject to Financial Conduct Authority approval.

Alexa is a chartered accountant with 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. She has spent the last 10 years at a senior level in the financial services industry, having joined HSBC in 2008 where she became the Global CFO of Asset Management before heading up the finance function for Commercial Banking, Europe. 

She is a non-executive director of Schroders Oriental Income Fund Ltd, a Guernsey domiciled, London listed investment trust.

Quintin has had a 30 year career in the investment banking and investment management industries, working at a senior level for a number of leading companies. From 2005 to 2015 he was at BlackRock where he was Global Head of Alpha Strategies and a member of the Global Executive Committee.

He a Senior Advisor at Actis, a privately owned private equity, real estate and energy & infrastructure company with $7.4bn of AUM as of the first quarter end 2018.
