Notification of Transactions of Directors / Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility (PDMR) and Connected Persons

Petropavlovsk PLC (the Company) announces that it received notification on 26 August 2010 of the following transactions in the Ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company (Shares):

1. Peter Hambro has notified the Company that he purchased 9,759 Shares in his Rensburg Sheppards Pension on 26 June 2010 at a price of £10.1362 per share.

Following this transaction, Peter Hambro and his associates will have an interest in 10,630,768 Shares representing 5.66% of the Company's issued share capital.

2. Bittacy Limited, a company associated with Pavel Maslovskiy notified the Company that it purchased 98,039 Shares on 26 June 2010 at a price of £10.1682 per share.

Following this transaction, Pavel Maslovskiy and his associates will have an interest in 16,861,696 Shares representing 8.98 % of the Company's issued share capital.

The notification of these transactions is to satisfy the Company's obligations under the Financial Services Authority Disclosure and Transparency Rules 3.1.2 to 3.1.4.
