Panmure Gordon & Co. plc04 July 2006 Pre-Close Update Panmure Gordon & Co plc ("Panmure Gordon") PRE CLOSE PERIOD UPDATE Panmure Gordon & Co. plc ("Panmure Gordon") today issued a trading statementahead of entering its close period for the half year ended 30th June 2006. It is intended that the results for the half year ended 30th June 2006 will beannounced on 13th September 2006 The results will show that the firm continues to make satisfactory progress.Institutional Equities traded particularly strongly in the first four months ofthe year although both this, and corporate finance fee income, have beenimpacted somewhat by recent challenging market conditions. Costs remain underclose control and are running below previously given market guidance. We have a strong pipeline of Corporate Finance deals which, market permitting,we will execute in the second half of the year.
