Directorate changes
Panmure Gordon & Co. plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Lesley Watkins to the Board as a non-executive director and chair of the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee with immediate effect. Mrs Watkins' appointment coincides with Simon Heale's notification of his intention to stand down from the Board on 4 November, 2011.
Board chairman, Ed Warner, commented: "We are delighted to have someone of Lesley's calibre join the Board. Her many years of experience in financial services and the Competition Commission will bring new strengths to our deliberations and particularly to our audit, risk and compliance oversight.
"Coinciding with Mrs Watkins' appointment, I wish to thank our Senior Independent Director, Simon Heale, for his service to the Board since 2007. He has been a tremendous supporter of the business and has provided valuable counsel during his tenure. He will depart the Board on November 4th with our very best wishes."

Lesley Susan Watkins, aged 52, is currently finance director and company secretary of Calculus Capital Limited, a private equity fund management business, which she joined in 2002. She is also a non-executive council member of the Competition Commission and chair of the Commission's Audit Committee. A qualified accountant, Lesley has extensive experience in investment banking, working for a number of City firms including 14 years with UBS and 3 years as a Managing Director, Global Investment Banking with Deutsche Bank. Mrs Watkins is a FCA and holds a BSc Hons Mathematics.
