Parkmead Group (The) PLC06 October 2006 6 October 2006 The Parkmead Group plc (the "Group") Appointment of Non-Executive Director The Board of The Parkmead Group plc, the investment group, announces theappointment of Thomas Cross as a Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect. Thomas Cross, aged 45, is Chief Executive Officer of Dana Petroleum plc, whichhe co-founded. He is a Chartered Director and Petroleum Engineer. After graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Engineering, Mr Cross wenton to hold senior positions with Conoco, Thomson North Sea and Louisiana Landand Exploration. Before founding Dana Petroleum, he was Director of Engineeringat the UK's Petroleum Science and Technology Institute. Mr Cross is the Chairman of BRINDEX, the Association of British Independent OilCompanies, and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. He is also a formerChairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and advisor to BBC Radio on oiland gas affairs. Thomas is currently a director of Dana Petroleum (E and P) Limited, EnergyManagement Associates Limited, Dana Petroleum Public Limited Company, AupecLimited, Tilestamp Limited, and UK Offshore Operations Limited. In the last 5years has been a director of Dana Petroleum Russia Limited and Aberness Limited. There is no further information to disclose in respect of Thomas Cross underparagraph (g) of schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
