Board Changes
The Board of Oak Holdings PLC announces that Michael Hill has resigned as a director with immediate effect. The Board thanks Mr Hill for his considerable efforts on behalf of the Company in the past and wishes him well in all his future endeavours.
The Board also announces that Mike Williams, Founder Director of CDC, will oversee the financial function of the group with immediate effect and has agreed to join the Board. Mike Williams is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Chartered Engineer. He is widely recognised as a leading visionary in the field of integrated systems within intelligent buildings and the built environment. He brings to the Board a wealth of business experience and he also intends to participate in the planned share placing.
The Board is also pleased to announce the creation of a new trading subsidiary, Rother Valley Railway Limited, which will construct and operate a narrow gauge railway in the Rother Valley Country Park in South Yorkshire. The Chief Executive will be Michael Woodcock, principal proprietor of the Ringwood Town & Country Experience, which Oak has conditionally agreed to purchase upon completion of the Placing.
Further Board appointments are expected shortly as Oak expands its activities from pure property development to encompass leisure operations including the successful assimilation of the management of the Rother Valley Country Park.
