Transactions in shares by Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMRs")
Premier Foods plc (the "Company") today announces that its Directors and PDMRs have taken up, in full, their entitlement to acquire shares under the Rights Issue. Taken together with the investment by Directors in the Placing announced on 24 March 2014, this amounts to a personal investment by Directors and PDMRs of over ÂĢ2 million in the share capital of the Company.
Under the Placing, directors of the Company and/or their connected persons acquired ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company (the "Shares") at 130 pence per Share, cum rights, on 24 March 2014. Under the Rights Issue, qualifying shareholders had the right to buy 8 new Shares for every 5 existing Shares held on the record date of 20 March 2014 at a price of 50 pence per new ordinary share.
The table below shows the number of Shares acquired by the Directors of the Company under the Placing and the Rights Issue and the total number of shares held by the Directors, or their connected persons, in the Company following the Rights Issue.
