Orosur Mining Inc. ('OMI' or 'the Company') (TSX-V: OMI) (AIM: OMI), a South American-focused gold producer and explorer, announces that it has appointed Mr. Gijsbert Groenewegen as Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
David Fowler, OMI Director and Chief Executive Officer commented, "We are delighted to welcome Gijsbert to the Board of Directors of OMI. Gijsbert's experience in financial markets will be very important as the Company looks to develop its growing gold interests in Latin America".
Mr. Groenewegen, aged 53, is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience in finance and asset management. He holds a Master degree in Corporate Law from Leiden University, The Netherlands and a Master degree in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Mr. Groenewegen is Founder and Managing Partner of Silver Arrow Capital Management Ltd. based in London and New York and in the previous five years he has been the Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Gold Arrow Capital Management (Cayman) Ltd. and Director of Mercer Gold Corporation. Gold Arrow Capital Management (Cayman) Ltd. was put into voluntary liquidation in March 2010 due to redemptions by investors made in 2008 and 2009.
There is no other information required to be disclosed under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
