Our principal operating subsidiary, Wilson Sons Limited announced to the Brazilian and Luxembourg Stock Exchanges the following announcement.
WILSON SONS LIMITED (Bovespa: WSON11) announces that, on January 12, 2009, the Company acquired the facility where Brasco Logística Offshore Limitada, one of its subsidiaries, has its operational base. The transaction amounted to R$ 18.0 million.
The acquired asset is located on 'Conceição' island, in the city of Niterói, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and is equivalent in size to an area of approximately 100,000 square meters. Since May of 2002, Brasco has operated it as a support terminal to the oil and gas industry, under a leasing contract.
The acquisition strengthens the Company's position as a player in the oil and gas market.
