Nationwide Building Society announces Non-Executive Director appointment

Nationwide Building Society today announces the appointment of Tamara Rajah as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Society. Tamara has significant experience in entrepreneurial ventures and technology, including as founder and CEO of award-winning global healthcare platform Live Better With. She will join the Board with effect from 1 September 2020 and will be a member of both the Board IT & Resilience and Board Risk committees.

Prior to launching Live Better With, Tamara was one of the youngest Partners at strategy firm McKinsey & Co, where she spent a decade in the healthcare practice, and led McKinsey's knowledge and client work on entrepreneurship and technology clusters in life sciences, digital and technology.

Tamara is also a Non-Executive Director at London & Partners, the Mayor of London's promotional agency and is Chair of London & Partners Ventures.

Her experience and understanding of the changes in consumer adoption of technology, together with her proven track record in entrepreneurial ventures means she will bring a valuable contribution to the Nationwide Board. Her understanding and experience of digital transformation and disruptive technologies will prove invaluable considering the direction of the Society's strategy and challenges in the retail financial services sector.
