Max Petroleum,Β an oil and gas exploration and development company focused inΒ Kazakhstan,Β today updates the market regardingΒ its ongoing efforts to farmout a portion of its equity interests in the Company's Astrakhanskiy and Blocks A&E licenceΒ areasΒ in westernΒ Kazakhstan.Β While the Company has beenΒ involved inΒ ongoing farmoutΒ discussionsΒ during the last several months,Β the Company has been unable to complete aΒ satisfactoryΒ commercial transactionΒ and cannot predict whether or whenΒ suchΒ a transaction could beΒ concluded.Β
TheΒ Company continuesΒ to pursue aΒ farmoutΒ of one or both of itsΒ licences. In conjunction, the Board is undertakingΒ a review of itsΒ strategic alternatives.Β
