Total voting rights

In accordance with the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the total number of ordinary shares of the Company in issue as at 30 September 2013 was 274,906,714 (excluding treasury shares) with each share holding one voting right.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

The Company also holds 1,539,066 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total voting rights and number of shares held in treasury stated above supersede the numbers noted in the scrip dividend declaration announcement issued on 23 September 2013.
