Directors' and PDMR interests in shares

Marshalls plc ("the Company") announces that it received notification on 3 October 2008 that the Trustee of the Company's HM Revenue & Customs approved share purchase plan ("the Plan"), Yorkshire Building Society, purchased ordinary shares of 25 pence each on behalf of the following Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility on 3 October 2008, to be held in accordance with the rules of the Plan. The shares were purchased at a price of 158 pence per share.

Marshalls plc also received notification on 3 October 2008 of the transfer by Mr David Sarti, Executive Director, by means of a matched sale and purchase, of 2,280 ordinary shares beneficially held by him into a PEP. The shares were sold at a price of 155 pence per share and re-purchased through the PEP at a price of 156 pence per share on 2 October 2008. The total beneficial holding of Mr David Sarti is now 108,069 ordinary shares (including shares purchased through the Plan) representing 0.077% of the issued share capital of the Company.
