DIRECTORS' SHARE PURCHASE
Melrose Resources plc (LSE: MRS) ("the Company") announces that, on 21 May 2010, it received notification of the following changes in Directors' shareholdings as a result of the purchase of shares in the Company, further details of which are set out below.

Notes:
(1) Mr Adair acquired his shares at a price of 258.86p per ordinary share and these are held within his personal pension fund.
(2) Mr Thomas acquired his shares on 20 May 2010 at an average price of 264.12p per ordinary share.
(3) Mr Thomas acquired his shares on 21 May 2010 at an average price of 264.41p per ordinary share.
(4) The interests of R F M Adair as at 24 May 2010 include 57,391,423 ordinary shares held by Skye Investments Limited, a company in which he has a controlling interest.
(5) The Company has 114,668,063 ordinary shares in issue.
