Melrose Resources PLC23 November 2006 For Immediate Release 23 November 2006 Melrose Resources plc Appointment of non-executive director Melrose Resources plc, the oil and gas exploration and production company withinterests in Bulgaria, Egypt, France and USA, today announces that William Wyatthas been appointed as a non-executive director of the Company with immediateeffect. Mr Wyatt is also a director of Caledonia Investments plc, AvantiScreenmedia Group plc and Terrace Hill Group plc. Mr Wyatt was previously adirector of Meinl European Land Ltd, a company listed on the Vienna StockExchange, until his resignation on 20 July 2004. The Company has no additional information to disclose in respect of theappointment of Mr Wyatt with regards to the requirements under Listing Rule9.6.13.
