Marchpole Holdings PLC16 November 2005 For Immediate Release 16 November 2005 Marchpole Holdings PLC ("Marchpole") Appointment of Non-Executive Directors Marchpole Holdings plc, which designs, produces and sells high quality clothingand accessories for six world class brands, is pleased to announce theappointment of Ronnie Stirling and Harvey Shulman who will be joining the Boardwith immediate effect as non-executive Directors. Greg Tufnell, CEO of Marchpole said: "We are delighted to welcome both Ronnieand Harvey to the Board. Their combined experience is very relevant to ourbusiness - encompassing both fashion and corporate worlds and will be extremelyuseful as Marchpole continues to grow into a world-leading brand manager." Ronald Edward Stirling (aged 65) joins Marchpole with a wealth of experiencewithin the fashion industry having founded the Stirling Cooper Fashion Group in1968. Stirling Cooper traded as a manufacturer, wholesaler and retail fashionclothing company with 11 retail outlets and 20 in-store concessions. Since hisretirement in 1991, he has concentrated on his family's private investmentcompany which has made a number of investments in early stage companies. From February 1995 until October 2002, Ronnie was the President of Kasper ASLEurope Limited a subsidiary of a large USA Fashion Company selling the productsof Anne Klein, Albert Nippon and Kasper ASL and opened in-store shops withinmajor stores in the UK and Europe. He then became a consultant of Kasper ASLfrom October 2002 until October 2003 Current directorships include:Fastnet investments Limited, American Collections (Europe) Limited,Azure Holdings Plc and;The Niche Group Plc. Previous directorships included:Abbcott Properties Limited,Devere Publishing Group Limited and; Other disclosures Ronnie Stirling was a Director of Hay & Robertson in October 2003 which was putinto liquidation in February 2004 and a Director of Knights International in Nov1992 which was put into liquidation in November 1993. Harvey Barry Shulman, LL.B, LL.M, (aged 59) brings extensive corporate and legalexperience to the Board. Harvey trained as a solicitor and has been involved inproperty acquisition and management since 1988. He is currently joint managingdirector of Solitaire Group Plc where he has been since its flotation on AIM in1997. He is also a partner in Graham Harvey, solicitors, with which he has beenassociated since 1972. Shulman has been a director of a number of companies over the last fiveyears which have not traded and have not been included in the list above. These directorships have been omitted on the grounds that this information is ofminor importance only and is not likely to influence the assessment of theCompany's assets and liabilities, financial position, profits and losses andprospects. These directorships were of companies which were formed as part ofthe proposed acquisition by Solitaire of a substantial apartment block inpreparation for the acquisition of separate units in the block. The proposedacquisition aborted and these companies became redundant and have never traded. Receiverships, liquidation, administrations of companies or partnerships orreceiverships of assetsH. B. Shulman was a non-executive director of Unchained Growth Pubs I plc from20 July 1994, Unchained Growth Pubs II plc and Unchained Growth Pubs III plcfrom 21 February 1996, Unchained Growth Pubs IV plc from 30 January 1996,Unchained Growth Pubs V plc and Unchained Growth Pubs VI plc. from 24 January1997, all until 3 June 2003. On 18 June 2003 an administrative receiver of eachof these companies were appointed by HSBC Bank plc. Immediately after theappointment of the administrative receiver, the business and assets of thecompanies have been sold. H.B. Shulman together with his co non-executivedirector objected to the appointment of the administrative receiver on thegrounds that it was not necessary.
