Mobile Streams Establishes Smartphone R&D Center 

Hong Kong based Center will develop new Applications for 

Apple iPhone and Google AndroidTM

London - 11 August 2009 - Mobile Streams, the global mobile content retailer, announces today the opening of a new Center of Excellence for Smartphone Research and Development in Hong Kong. The new facility will play a key role in the Company's continuing development of smartphone and feature phone applications and services on behalf of both Mobile Streams and its customers.

The new Center will be lead by Mobile Streams' Vice President for Technology, Jacky Lee. In addition, the Company has recruited a smartphone specialist with the appointment of Ting Fung LAM as a Smartphone Programmer. LAM joins from Artificial Life where he was working as a Games Programmer.

"Mobile Streams is excited about the great consumer experiences that smartphones and related On Device Portals provide. The prospects for global distribution and creating a hub for the community aspects for brands are particularly exciting for my team," commented Angela Mastrillo, Vice President Asia Pacific. 

"Our newly opened Center of Excellence underlines our commitment to developing services for the new Smartphone platforms," said Simon Buckingham, CEO and founder of Mobile Streams. "We chose to locate this global facility in Hong Kong because the Asian region has already launched services for several smartphone platforms including Google AndroidTM and BlackBerry from RIM. Mobile Streams recently announced the launch of two Google AndroidTM Game Storefronts for network operator partners in Asia and Australia.

Mobile Streams is a registered and accredited developer for the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms from Apple. Applications from these platforms are sold directly to consumers through the online Apple App Store and iTunes platform.
