Board Appointment
Maghreb Minerals Plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Murray as a non-executive director of the Company.
Mr Sean Terence Wolfgang Murray (65) brings broad industry experience in general management, corporate strategy, minerals marketing and sustainable development. Mr Murray has extensive global experience in the industrial minerals industry and in non-ferrous metals and minerals mining and refining
Mr Murray held senior management positions in the Rio Tinto group of companies in particular at Rio Tinto Borax, an industrial minerals company and subsidiary of the Rio Tino Group. He became Managing Director of Borax Europe and then Deputy Chief Executive, Rio Tinto Borax also serving on the boards of other Rio Tinto subsidiary companies including U.S. Borax (California), Borax Francais (Paris and Dunkirk) and Borax Argentina (Buenos Aires and Salta). He has also served as a Vice-President of the European Zinc Institute (The Hague), as an Industry Advisor to the UK government on non-ferrous metals and minerals, and as Vice-president of the Industrial Minerals Association, and as President of the European Borates Association.
Since 2004, Mr Murray has provided specialist consulting services to the industrial minerals sector in Europe and North and Central America.

There are no further details in relation to the above appointment which require disclosure under paragraph (g) (iii) to (viii) of Schedule 2 to the AIM Rules for Companies.
