APPOINTMENT OF NEW INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C) is pleased to announce today that Ms Paola Bergamaschi Broyd will be joining M&C's Board of Directors as an independent Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Ms Broyd has over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector, primarily with large global banking groups. Most recently she was Head of Asset Owners Solutions, Senior Managing Director, EMEA for State Street Corporation in London, where she was responsible for the sales of multi-product solutions to institutional clients across Europe. She stepped down from that role in 2014. Before working for State Street Corporation, she held senior executive positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, Sanpaolo IMI S.p.A. and Goldman Sachs. She began her corporate career at the Montedison Group in Italy as the Head of Investor Relations.

Since her retirement, Ms Bergamaschi Broyd has taken on and currently holds a number of independent Non-Executive Director positions, including ones at The Bank of New York Mellon (International) Limited, Wells Fargo Securities International Limited and Arca Fondi SGR S.p.A. As part of her responsibilities on these Boards, she serves on various committees. All of her current directorships are with non-public companies.

This appointment follows a comprehensive search process led by M&C's Nominations Committee. With the appointment of Ms Bergamaschi Broyd, the Board is now comprised of five independent Non-Executive Directors and the three Non-Executive Directors who are nominees of M&C's controlling shareholder, City Developments Limited.

No further information is required to be disclosed pursuant to LR 9.6.13R (1) to (6) in respect of Ms Bergamaschi Broyd's appointment.
