Local Municipality Support

Minoan Group Plc is pleased to announce that the Local Municipality of Sitia, Crete (the "Municipality") has reaffirmed its support for the Group's project in Crete (the "Project").

At a meeting held by the Municipality on 18 March 2014, the details of the Strategic Environmental Assessment ("SEA") for the Project were discussed with emphasis being placed on its environmentally friendly and model character. Following the discussion, the Municipal Council voted in favour of recommending the approval of the SEA.

A few days ago representatives of the Periphery, the Regional Government of Crete, organised a site visit in the presence of the Mayor of Sitia. As stated in the Municipality meeting, the Project is expected to enhance the development of the broader local area.

Christopher Egleton, Minoan Chairman, commented:

"I am delighted to have this confirmation that the local community supports the Project and is looking forward to the benefits it will bring to the area. The Municipality vote is part of the public consultation process, which should be completed at the end of the month."
