Murray VCT 4 PLC26 January 2007 Murray VCT 4 PLC ("the Company") Board Appointment As indicated in the Annual Report for the year ended 28 February 2006 and aspart of an ongoing process of succession planning, during the second half of2006 the Board of the Company undertook the selection of a new Director. As a result of this process, the Board is now pleased to announce theappointment, with effect from 1 March 2007, of John Pocock as a non-executiveDirector of the Company. Mr Pocock has extensive experience in the informationtechnology and financial services sectors and was formerly a director and chiefexecutive of Druid Group plc, a FTSE 250 Company that was acquired by Xansa plcin March 2000. Currently non-executive chairman of software companies VamosaLimited and Presence Networks Limited, Mr Pocock is also a non-executivedirector of Electric & General Investment Trust plc and a director of a numberof other smaller companies. In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Financial Services Authority'sListing Rules, the Company confirms that Mr Pocock is a non-executive Directorof the following public quoted company and has not held any other directorshipsof public quoted companies within the last five years: Electric & General Investment Trust plc There are no disclosures required to be made in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2)- (6) of the Financial Services Authority's Listing Rules. Mr Pocock does not currently hold any of the Company's Ordinary shares.
