Morgan Sindall appoints Malcolm Cooper as a Non-Executive Director

Morgan Sindall Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Malcolm Cooper as a non-executive director, with effect from 9 November 2015. Malcolm will be a member of the remuneration, nominations and audit committees and will subsequently succeed Liz Peace as chair of the Audit Committee at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 5 May 2016.

Malcolm is a qualified accountant and experienced FTSE 250 audit chairman. He is Global Tax & Treasury Director at National Grid plc as well as being Managing Director of the company's Property Division. Malcolm has gained additional exposure to property construction through his non-executive directorship at St William Homes LLP, a JV with Berkeley Homes PLC. Prior to National Grid he was Group Treasurer and Director of Corporate Finance at Lattice Group Plc and Director of Corporate Finance at BG Group Plc. As a non-executive director Malcolm is currently senior independent director and audit chair at CLS Holdings plc. Previous non-executive experience includes President of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and Member of the Financial Services Authority's Listing Authority Advisory Panel.
