MANDARIN ORIENTAL SENIOR MANAGEMENT CHANGE

20th May 2021 - Mandarin Oriental International Limited (the 'Company') today announces that Matthew Bishop will be appointed as a Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Company with effect from 1st September 2021, following the announcement that Craig Beattie, the current Chief Financial Officer of the Company, will be appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Hongkong Land Holdings Limited with effect from the same date. 

Matthew joined Jardine Matheson in 2010 and has held a number of senior finance roles across the Group, most recently as Group Treasurer of Jardine Matheson since December 2018. Prior to this Matthew was a diplomat with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in Beijing and London. Matthew holds a law degree and is a chartered accountant.

Commenting on the change, James Riley, Group Chief Executive, said:

"I would like to thank Craig for the major contribution he has made to the Group since his appointment as Chief Financial Officer in November 2018. This has included playing an instrumental role in helping the Group navigate one of the most difficult periods in its history as it has addressed the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We wish Craig every success in his new role. I am also delighted that Matthew will be joining the Group and look forward to working with him."
