Dave Thomas, Chief Operating Officer, to retire from the Company

McColl's Retail Group plc (the "Company") announces that, after 23 years at the Company, Dave Thomas has confirmed his intention to stand down from his role as Chief Operating Officer, and also from the Board.

Mr. Thomas will step down from his roles with immediate effect but will remain available in a consultative capacity until 6th April 2020, at which point he will retire from the Company. Accordingly, Mr Thomas will not stand for re-election at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting on 3rd April 2020. The Company does not have any immediate intention to replace Mr. Thomas' position on the Board.

Jonathan Miller, Chief Executive, said: "On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Dave for the enormous contribution he has made to the company during his time here. Over the years he has played an important role in helping to build McColl's into a leading convenience retailer and we wish Dave all the very best for the future."

Dave Thomas said: "It has been a privilege to work at McColl's and after 23 years now is the right time for me to step back. I would like to thank the Board and all the many colleagues I have worked with during my time here, and I wish everyone at McColl's the very best for the future."

This announcement is issued in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11 (2).
