MCKAY APPOINTS NEW ASSET MANAGER TO THE TEAM

McKay Securities PLC, the only Real Estate Investment Trust specialising entirely in the South East and London office and industrial markets, has hired Richard Morgan as an Asset Manager.

Richard brings over 6 years of real estate asset management experience and 3 years surveying experience to the role. He previously held asset management positions at Mountgrange Investment Management and South Kensington Estates. He trained as a surveyor at GVA Grimley.

In his new role, Richard will be based at the Company's Head Office in Reading and will be responsible for managing a number of commercial property assets in McKay's portfolio. He will be identifying opportunities to maximise the performance of the properties by overseeing refurbishment / redevelopment projects, negotiating new lettings, lease re gears and renewals amongst other initiatives to deliver an increase in rental income and drive capital growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Simon Perkins, Managing Director of McKay, said:

Since completing the £87 million capital raising in February, we have invested in a number of excellent real estate assets that offer the potential to accelerate their returns. We have also been expanding our team to help manage the increased number of opportunities in our portfolio.
