McKay Securities PLC05 February 2007 PRESS RELEASE McKay Securities PLC Conversion to REIT Status and Publication of Circular McKay Securities PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce that, after detailedconsideration of Part 4 the Finance Act 2006 and the related regulations, itintends to elect for Real Estate Investment Trust ("REIT") status with effectfrom 1st April 2007. Amendments are required to the Company's Articles of Association (the"Articles") before conversion to a REIT, in order to avoid potential taxexposure. The Company has therefore today issued a circular (the "Circular") explainingthe proposed election to REIT status and convening an Extraordinary GeneralMeeting of shareholders to be held at 9.30am on 28th February 2007 at The RoyalThames Yacht Club, 60 Knightsbridge, London, SW1, at which approval for theproposed amendments to the Articles will be sought. Copies of the Circular have been submitted to the UK Listing Authority and willshortly be available for inspection during normal business hours on any weekday(public holidays excepted) at the UK Listing Authority's Document ViewingFacility, which is situated at The Financial Services Authority, 25 The NorthColonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5HS (tel: 020 7066 1000).
