Latchways PLC24 July 2006 For immediate release 24 July 2006 Latchways plc Resignation of Director The Board of Latchways plc announces that James Joll, a non-executive director,has decided not to stand for re-election at the forthcoming AGM of the Companyand accordingly will cease to be a director on 1 September 2006. Paul Hearson, Chairman, said "James joined the Board in 1997 and has served as anon-executive director since then, sitting on a number of committees over thepast few years, where his help and experience have been greatly appreciated. TheBoard and the Company will miss his humour, wisdom and professionalism. Jameswas due to retire by rotation at the forthcoming AGM but has decided not tostand for re-election, but to step down from the Board in order to concentrateon his other business interests.
